Seven films to be premiered in five languages on Amazon Prime Video
May 29 – Ponmal Vandal (Tamil), in which Jyothika is in the lead role.
June 12 – Gulabo Sitabo (Hindi), starring Amitabh Bachchan and Ayushmann Khurrana in lead roles
June 19 – Penguin (Tamil and Telugu), the film is by Kirti Suresh
June 26 – Law (Kannada), Puneet Rajkumar has produced this film
July 24 – French Biryani (Kannada), also produced by Puneet Rajkumar
Apart from this, the film on Vidya Balan’s biopic, Shakuntala Devi (Hindi) and Sufiyam Sujatayam (Malayalam) will also premiere.

Producers Guild of India
The Producers Guild of India has said in a statement that if the cinema or multiplexes are reopened in the entire country, then there will be no guarantee that the theater market will be open abroad. This market abroad has a significant share in the earnings of Hindi cinema. In such a situation, producers may suffer a big loss in terms of revenue.
The Guild says that the cinema will also open in the country, social distancing will follow, obviously the audience will be less. The second reason will also be that viewers can reduce the attitude of multiplexes for their own safety. He also says that of course multiplexes are and will remain the priority in the release of the film. But the circumstances that exist now, we have to take this decision.
PVR Pictures protested
PVR Pictures, another multiplex company, has also protested against this decision of production companies. PVR CEO Kamal Gyanchandani said that we believe that the audience gets the best experience of our filmmaker’s hard work and creativity when the films are released in theaters. This has been happening not only in India but all over the world for decades. He said that we are confident that after the Corona crisis, the audience will again turn to the multiplex, as he has been living in the house for the past several weeks.
We do not agree with the decision of some producers to release the film on the streaming platform.
