Ondikattai is the story of Thaiyamuthu an uneducated, but noble person who will go to any extent to make Panji happy. The latter, who lost her parents at a younger age, has been brought up by her grandmom. Thaiyamuthu, who dreams of getting married to Panji, helps her to find a job so that they can settle down happily in their life. Panji’s grandmom who knows Muthu’s desire for her promises support to him.
However, Panji’s life changes when she gets a job in a nearby town – where she falls in love with one of her colleagues. A heartbroken Muthu hides his feelings from her and makes sure that her dream comes true. Post marriage, her husband starts torturing her physically and mentally that Muthu takes on him.
A wafer-thin plot, coupled with an amateurish making make the watching experience a terrible one. Except for in a couple of scenes, the performance of the actors too, disappoints big time.
