It’s true, Bollywood actor Sunny Leone’s name made it to the top of admission merit list of a Kolkata college with perfect score of 400.
Asutosh College posted the first merit list for admission to BA (Honours) in English on its website. The list had the actor’s name at the top. It was accompanied with application ID 9513008704, roll number- 207777-6666 and the year of passing 2020 from the West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education.
Along with the name, a perfect score of 400 in the best four subjects in Class 12 board examinations was mentioned on the list.
A screenshot of the merit list has gone viral on social media. Take a look:
“It is an act of mischief as someone deliberately submitted a wrong application having typed Leone’s name. We have asked the admission department to correct it. We will also conduct an inquiry into the incident,” a college official told PTI.
Later in the evening, the candidate’s name was changed to ‘ABC’, while the other details remained the same. The incident has raised questions about the online admission process that is underway.
